Concluding with a casual pose,
a photo showing the front length well.
[[[ Size Guide ]]]
There's no exact standard for this dress.
If we had to choose, it should be based on shoulder width, but the design consumes a lot of the shoulder width in shirring, so it's hard to compare measurements. As mentioned at the beginning:
Upper body based
S / 34-36(EU) / 0-2(US)
M / 36-38(EU) / 2-4(US)
L / 38-(EU) / 6-8(US)
If you need to think about it more from various angles, please read the following cases and choose accordingly.
If your shoulders and bust are just average 34, and you're definitely a 34 upper body, go for S.
If you wear both 34 and 36, feeling like a slim 36, especially if your shoulders are not wide (closer to 34 for a petite shoulder), and you don't usually wear an overly baggy fit (nor is your neck particularly thick), go for S.
If your shoulders and chest are a true 36, unable to wear 34, but you're petite in height or shoulders, yet have gained some weight recently, and you want a comfortable 36 outfit because the neck and armholes might be tight, go for M.
If you're tall enough to sometimes wear 38 but also wear 36, and although not a true 38 bust, go for M.
If you're a true 38, or not quite a wide in shoulders but have a full 38 bust, and you want neither tightness nor discomfort around the neck or armholes, and don't want to wear clothes too snugly, go for L.
*** Length and Alterations ***
Although it's a long dress style,
based on a height of 5'4" (165cm), the longest point reaches just above the shin bone, so if you're 5'2"(160cm) or taller, it's generally wearable.
Especially since this piece is definitely designed to be worn with heels, those under 5'4"(160cm) can also adequately handle the length with shoes.
Moreover, if you tie the waist string tightly,
you can significantly raise the length!
As you can see in the photos above, visually, the overall look has the front length rising unbalanced, not looking cumbersome but fresh and sophisticated with an uneven skirt feel.
And all this is moot if the length seems to be an issue
------> Length adjustments are super easy.
Both total length and hem adjustments are very easy, but since the fabric is delicate to handle,
we recommend a main tailoring shop or a highly skilled alteration shop.
If you dislike the asymmetrical sleeves and the different lengths of the skirt sections and want the same sleeves on both sides and the skirt cut straight (although not particularly recommended) ------> That's super easy too.
Shoulders, torso circumference, armholes, waistline, etc., are complex but cautiously alterable.
[[[ Color Selection ]]]
*** Warm tone, cool tone—doesn't matter at all ***
The designer herself is a prime representative of the earthy yellow tone. For those with warm tones, the tone won't look dirty. It's not a bright yellow gold but a clear champagne gold. Red is closer to scarlet but not wine red, dead red, or bright red, but a deep red that's vivid yet rich in summer. So, for cool-toned individuals??? No matter how you wear it, you'll definitely look beautiful :) The tone is flattering for any skin tone, so you don't need to consider warm or cool tones!
*** Since the two colors are completely different dresses, choose based on your instinct. The usage situations and versatility arising from the difference in fabric and color have been detailed in the photos above, so if you're hesitating about the color, please read the detailed descriptions above again and then, alright! Go with the one that appeals to you.**
[[[ Other ]]]
Not hot or heavy, the lining doesn't cling but is smooth and soft. Wrinkles are minimal, but if crumpled in a travel bag, a light ironing quickly neatens the fabric.
